Bus

There are daily bus departures to Svolvær in Lofoten from Bodø, Narvik and Harstad. Visit 177nordland.no for information about prices and departures. During the season, separate bus routes are also set up by private bus companies.

 

Train

From Oslo you can take a train to Trondheim, and from there on to Fauske and Bodø. Departures every day throughout the year. There are daily train departures from Stockholm to Kiruna and Narvik. From there you can take a bus to Lofoten.

Car

There are many ways to travel to Lofoten by car. If you do not want to travel to Lofoten by ferry, Europavei 10 from Sweden is the alternative. There are several car rental companies in Lofoten and the surrounding towns.

 

Plane

There are daily departures from the largest cities in the country to Bodø Airport, Svolvær Airport, Leknes Airport and Røst Airport. Flight time from Oslo to Bodø is about an hour and a half, and another 20 -30 minutes from there to Lofoten.

Boat

Express boats run daily from Bodø to Svolvær and Værøy. There are car ferries every day from Bodø to Svolvær, Moskenes, Værøy and Røst. Hurtigruten calls at Bodø, Stamsund and Svolvær every day throughout the year.

 

Helicopter

There is a helicopter connection between Bodø Airport and Værøy Helicopter Harbor.
